Peggy Sawyer fresh from Allentown, PA, is thrilled to be in a Julian Marsh musical. Thank you to all the cast and crew for welcoming a newbie to her first Broadway show. She is overjoyed to be "one speck of dust on the stage" and contribute to a production that may give joy to others.

Dorothy Brock

Dorothy is originally from Richmond, Virginia and had a successful song and dance career in vaudeville with her partner, Pat Denning, before becoming one of Broadway’s leading ladies. Her starring roles include performances in Honey Girl, Shuffle Along, Sally, Irene and Mary, The Dancing Girl, Moonlight, Merry Merry , and The Wild Rose. Pretty Lady marks her return to the stage after a several year hiatus. She is delighted to finally get the opportunity to work with “The King of Broadway”, Julian Marsh.

Julian Marsh

Mr. Marsh's career spans over 25 years as a director, playwright, choreographer and actor. A New York City native, Marsh started his career as a singer, dancer and actor and was featured in numerous musical reviews and stage plays. After serving honorably during WWI, Mr. Marsh has directed many Broadway classics including A Tree Grows in Hoboken, Gypsy Rhapsody, and A Night in Venice. Mr. Marsh is a graduate of Princeton University.

Billy Lawlor

Billy Lawlor is proud to star as the leading man in “Pretty Lady”. Born and raised in Buffalo, New York, he’s always had a strong passion for Musical Theatre. He studied at the Julliard School where he received his Bachelor’s and Master’s of Fine Arts. At the age of 28, he is known as the youngest juvenile to ever land major roles in his career. His most recent credits on Broadway were Hickory / Tinman from The Wizard of Oz, Scott "Scotty" Blair from Footlight Parade, and Maurice Courtelin from Love Me Tonight.

Maggie Jones

Maggie Jones started as a song and dance girl in Vaudeville theatres in and around her home town of Cincinnati. After receiving rave reviews in Poppy as Mary Delafield, she was asked to join the Pantages Circuit, where she was featured in character roles. Her love of poetry inspired her to obtain a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of California at Los Angeles. She decided to then try her hand at being a lyricist and was introduced to composer Bert Barry through a mutual friend. The rest, as they say, is musical theatre history.

Bert Barry began playing piano when he was 10 years old. Since then he's performed as an accompanist and soloist at venues across the Atlantic Coast including Manhattan's famous Upper East Side Cabaret, where he first met his collaborator Maggie Jones. Together they've penned such regional favorites as Jazzy Devil, Bandits of Brooklyn and Elementary! The Sherlock Holmes Musical. Bert holds a degree in musical composition from Carnegie Mellon University.

Andy Lee

Andy Lee is honored to be joining the "Pretty Lady" staff as Choreographer/Dance Director. Andy was born in Los Angeles, CA to a family of musicians and made his Broadway debut in the "Ziegfeld's Follies of 1910." He later returned to the Great White Way in George and Ira Gershwin's "Lady Be Good" and "Tip-Toes." Andy has choreographed six musicals for Warner Bros and four musicals for 20th Century-Fox. He is a proud graduate of the Julliard School of Dance.

Pat Denning

Pat Denning is currently an entrepreneur in the theatrical production business, following a long and successful career in vaudeville. He was a well-known song and dance man, with triumphant runs at the famous Palace Theater, the Bijou Theater, and throughout the Orpheum circuit. By far his greatest success in vaudeville came from his act with the supremely talented Dorothy Brock. He has nothing but best wishes for Miss Brock as the star of her new show.

Abner Dillon

Abner Dillon was born near Lubbock, Texas. He and his brother opened the rich Panhandle Oil field in the early 1920s. His brother bought his interest and he bought a Tulsa toy factory. He revamped the product line, appealing to wealthy clientele. “Dillon’s Kidee Kars” modeled after Duesenbergs, Bugattis and Cords were sought after by the most prominent families of the East Coast. Business brought Abner frequently to New York where he developed a taste for Broadway and theatrical personages. A strong personal attachment led him to finance “Pretty Lady” in its entirety.

Annie Reilly

Annie is originally from Minnesota, and caught the dance bug early--her first performance was at 5, as a dancing horse. At 18, she moved to NYC, and realized her dream of dancing on Broadway, landing a role in "Anything Goes". Since then, she has appeared as a featured singer/dancer in "Showboat", "The Ziegfield Follies", "On Your Toes", and Babes in Arms". Her motto is “Anytime!” and she is delighted to share the “Pretty Lady” stage with her close friends Phyllis, Lorraine and Gladys. She dedicates this show to her cat, Gizmo.

Lorraine Flemming is thrilled to perform in Pretty Lady! Other credits include Sunny Days and her broadway debut, Yes, Yes, Yvette. Originally from Hoboken, New Jersey, she sends love to her family and friends back home. Lorraine’s hobbies include shopping, collecting porcelain cats, and meeting her friends at the gypsy tea kettle for lunch.

Phyllis Dale

Phyllis Dale moved to the apple two years ago from Ridgeland, Mississippi with bright eyes and big dreams. Phyllis first learned how to tap back in Mississippi when she accidentally walked into the wrong dance class and ended up loving it! Ever since then, she can’t stop tapping, which is how she ended up in Pretty Lady! Mr. Marsh caught her tapping in the grocery store and invited her to an audition. She hopes you enjoy the show!

Gladys Remington

Gladys Remington was born in Florence, South Carolina. She moved to New York City when she was 16 and has loved it ever since. “Pretty Lady” marks her second show with Julian Marsh. You may have seen her smiling face as a Chorus Girl in several other recent Broadway productions. In the very rare moments that she is not at rehearsal, Gladys can be found in the dance studio or practicing steps with her friends.

Dr Lawrence Martin

Doctor by day, dancer by night, Lawrence works at Manhattan’s Midtown Clinic and has auditioned for many shows including Show Boat and Pirates of Penzance. While he didn’t make the cut for either of those, he eventually got a callback for Pretty Lady and is so excited to be a member of this cast! He is also the doctor on call in case anything goes wrong backstage. Hopefully no one breaks a leg! He hopes you enjoy Pretty Lady.

Ethel Rose Nylund

Ethel Rose Nylund is “over the moon” to be making her Broadway debut in Pretty Lady! She hails from the small Midwestern town of St. Olaf, Minnesota. She has studied dance since she was 3. At the age of 16, Ethel was crowned Miss Butter Queen of 1917. After winning this prestigious title, she was discovered by a talent agent. This led to modeling contracts with local dairy farmers and John Deere Tractors. Ethel then went on to be a dancing chorus girl in the film ‘The Hollywood Revue’.

Cosmo Ford

Cosmo Ford is very excited to perform in Pretty Lady. He stared his theater career as a stage hand and was drafted to the stage due to a lack of tappers. Outside of theater he enjoys jazz, playing the bass clarinet and doing his stand-up comedy routine with his pigeon, Jerold.

Winnifred Taylor

Winnifred (Winnie) Taylor is excited to be making her Broadway debut in “Pretty Lady”! She was born and raised in Chicago and came to live in New York when she was 19. She won several pageants, including “Miss Teen Windy City.” She started dancing at 15 and right after high school, she hopped on the train to New York and started auditioning for Broadway shows! She hopes you enjoy the show.

Anna McLean

Anna hails from the Black Hills of South Dakota, the loving daughter of a miner and telegraph operator. She fell toe over heel for tap when she saw her first picture show. Blinded by youth, she left Deadwood with a dollar in her pocket and a dream in her heart. A smile, her saddle shoes, a few pennies, and some glue were the only tools she used to learn tap on the sidewalks of New York. Pretty Lady marks her Broadway debut, and she thinks Mr. Marsh is the bees-knees for giving her this big break! She dedicates this show to her Uncle Everett in Brooklyn (and his couch) and asks her parents not to worry so much about her finding a husband.

Mary Grace Redman, age 17 was born and raised outside of Topeka, Kansas. She taught herself to tap dance by hammering nails into the bottom of her shoes. Her dream has always been to be a dancer on Broadway and she is honored to join the amazing cast of Pretty Lady.

Diane Lorimer was born and raised on the Upper West Side of New York City. She has been performing on stage since she was three, and graduated from Juilliard.
