WVLO's Spectacular 56th Season!

November 2021 / July 2022

WVLO Musical Theatre Company is pleased to announce that Broadway Musicals are back!

Opening our season of premiere shows, this is a new, award-winning musical comedy based on characters created by Charles Addams in his popular comic strip and TV series about a weird and wonderful family and their eccentric encounters with the citizens of a normal society. The 2010 Broadway production starred Nathan Lane as Gomez and Brooke Shields as Morticia. The musical score includes “One Normal Night”, “What If?”, “Waiting”, “Just Around The Corner”, “Not Today”, “Crazier Than You” and “Let’s Not Talk About Anything But Love”.

Completing our season is a South Bay Premiere, a fun and upbeat musical based on the novel “Legally Blonde” by Amanda Browne and the 2001 film of the same name. It tells the story of Elle Woods, a sorority girl who enrolls at Harvard Law School to win back her ex-boyfriend, Warner, and discovers how her knowledge of law can help others. The musical premiered in pre-Broadway tryouts in San Francisco in 2007 before moving to Broadway. It received 7 Tony nominations and 10 Drama Desk nominations. It has since toured throughout the USA, London, and other countries. The score includes “Omigod You Guys”, “What You Want”, “Positive”, “Delta Nu Nu Nu”, “Find My Way” and the title song.
