Tells the story of two ex-servicemen buddies who have become a top Broadway act. They put on a show in a charming Vermont inn, and find their perfect mates in the process. !! No Appointments !! Audition Guidelines & General Information
- Roles Open to all Races & Ethnicities - Prepare a song which best shows your vocal range - You may sing from the show - PLEASE bring sheet music in your key. An accompanist will be provided. - NO IMPROMPTU VOCAL. NO TAPES OR CD's, PLEASE! - Be Prepared to sing and dance/move. - No roles are pre-cast. - Auditions will close promptly at times stated. - All actors to play age appropriate (see below) NOTES- - Dance: Do not need to prepare a dance routine for the audition. You will be shown a short routine and asked to perform. We are primarily looking to see how you move. - Headshot: Bring a headshot if you have one. If you don't, we'll take a Polaroid shot. - Rehearsals: generally Sun. through Thurs. evenings (6:30 or 7pm to 9:30 or 10pm), with some possible Sat. (am or pm). Role	Role Description	Actor
BOB WALLACE	(late 20's to mid 30’s) Guiding force behind the famous showbiz team of Wallace and Davis. Suberb singer who moves well, Baritone.
PHIL DAVIS	(late 20's to mid 30's) The fun loving, go-getting half of the famous showbiz team of Wallace and Davis. Strong jazz and tap-dancing needed- a song-and dance performer. Bari-tenor.	Peter Shuurmans
BETTY HAYNES	(mid to late 20's) The sensible, responsible half of the up-and coming sister act, The Haynes Sisters. A female singer of quiet beauty and charm with a rich chest mix sound and a soprano extension. Must move well.	Meg Fischer
JUDY HAYNES	(early 20's) The younger, more ambitious, slightly scheming Haynes sister. Strong jazz and tap performer. Chest mix.	Jillian Cummings
GENERAL HENRY WAVERLY	(later 50's to mid 60's) Retired U.S. Army General, adjusting to his civilian life as a Vermont innkeeper. With the exception of one line, a non-singing role.	Les Dale
MARTHA WATSON	(late 40's to mid 60's) The generals housekeeper at the inn. A winning, appealing character-comedienne with a clarion belt voice.	Ruth E Stein
SUSAN WAVERLY	(9-12 years old to play 9 years old) The General's granddaughter. Must have an excellent belt voice and be able to move well.	Lillian Blank & Katy Moylan
RALPH SHELDRAKE	(mid to late 30's) Former Army buddy of Bob and Phil's, now a fast talking television executive with the Ed Sullivan show. Baritone.	Michael Carey
RITA	(mid 20's to early 30's) Bob and Phil's two star chorus girls, they are brash, sexy and fun, although perhaps not the smartest.	Andrea Stanley
RHODA	(mid 20's to early 30's) Bob and Phil's two star chorus girls, they are brash, sexy and fun, although perhaps not the smartest.	Patrisha Dwyer
ESEKIEL FOSTER	(mid 40's to late 50's) The ultimate taciturn New Englander, who helps out at the inn and takes life at a slow pace.	Frank Sherlock
