A re-do of the 1954 Bing Crosby /Danny Kaye movie, this is a "hey kids, let's put on a show" formula. Tells the story of two ex-servicemen buddies who have become a top Broadway act. They put on a show in a charming Vermont inn, and find their perfect mates in the process.

| Audition Guidelines & General Information |
| - Roles Open to all Races & Ethnicities
- Prepare a song which best shows your vocal range
- You may sing from the show
- PLEASE bring sheet music in your key. An accompanist will be provided.
- NO IMPROMPTU VOCAL. NO TAPES OR CD's, PLEASE!
- Be Prepared to sing and dance/move.
- No roles are pre-cast.
- Auditions will close promptly at times stated.
- All actors to play age appropriate (see below)
NOTES-
- Dance: Do not need to prepare a dance routine for the audition. You will be shown a short routine and asked to perform. We are primarily looking to see how you move.
- Headshot: Bring a headshot if you have one. If you don't, we'll take a Polaroid shot.
- Rehearsals: generally Sun. through Thurs. evenings (6:30 or 7pm to 9:30 or 10pm), with some possible Sat. (am or pm). Not everyone needs to attend all rehearsals.
- Conflicts: You will have an opportunity at auditions to indicate your conflicts so please bring your personal calendar.

(late 20's to mid 30's) The fun loving, go-getting half of the famous showbiz team of Wallace and Davis. Strong jazz and tap-dancing needed- a song-and dance performer. Bari-tenor.

| BETTY HAYNES |
(mid to late 20's) The sensible, responsible half of the up-and coming sister act, The Haynes Sisters. A female singer of quiet beauty and charm with a rich chest mix sound and a soprano extension. Must move well.

| JUDY HAYNES |
(early 20's) The younger, more ambitious, slightly scheming Haynes sister. Strong jazz and tap performer. Chest mix.

| GENERAL HENRY WAVERLY |
(later 50's to mid 60's) Retired U.S. Army General, adjusting to his civilian life as a Vermont innkeeper. With the exception of one line, a non-singing role.
